Nikon D810 sensor: new DxOMark leader

DxOMark published their test results for the Nikon D810. The new camera showed marginal sensor improvement over the previous D800/D800E models but was still able to take the top rating in their sensor database:

Nikon is rumored to reveal their new D810 DSLR camera this week. The official announcement should be on June 26. In the US we can expect the new camera tonight (Tuesday) or tomorrow around midnight EST (Wednesday or Thursday morning European time).

Lytro announces Illum light field camera

Lytro has unveiled the Illum light field camera, its first new hardware since the original Lytro launched more than two years ago. Like its predecessor, the Illum captures information about the angle from which light has arrived, allowing it to calculate images with different perspective and focus. Lytro calls the images 'living pictures', which are presented in a proprietary interactive format.
